Tetranite Vet is a novel bone adhesive that is transforming the standard of care for both patients and veterinary clinicians. We are currently enrolling patients and conducting a range of studies in 5 cities around the country with a team of experienced investigators.
If you are interested in having your family pet participate in any of the current or future trials, please see the information below.
CLINICAL STUDIES
RevBio Animal Health is currently conducting a multi-center study evaluating the rate of bone healing using a novel mineral-organic adhesive (Tetranite Vet) in tooth extraction sites in dogs.

This study is investigating a novel resorbable adhesive bone graft that may not only result in quicker bone healing at tooth extraction sites–but may also maintain ridge height preservation (jaw thickness). Our team is investigating how expedited healing may provide the benefit of helping to maintain the supporting jawbone. We believe delaying alveolar ridge atrophy will help preserve surrounding teeth.
FOR PET PARENTS
To participate in this study, your dog must require a medically necessary extraction of a single large tooth or similar size teeth in the lower jaw. The complete study consists of three visits: An initial visit for the extraction, a short-term follow up at either 6, 8 or 12 weeks and finally a long-term follow-up visit at 6 or 12 months.
Please review some common symptoms which indicate that your dog may require dental care: bad breath, changes in eating habits, yellow or brown teeth, swollen or bleeding gums, growths on the gums, excessive drooling, pawing at their mouth. A veterinarian will provide a diagnosis for suitability. Please see patient incentives below:
INCENTIVE #1 | $1500 for complete trial participation–$500 for each of three visits. |
INCENTIVE #2 | Placement of resorbable bone adhesive at no cost to the patient. |
INCENTIVE #3 | Immediate post-operative and two follow-up CT scans at no cost. |
INCENTIVE #4 | Anesthesia or sedation costs associated with the CT scans are at no cost. |
FOR REFERRING VETERINARIANS
If you have a canine patient who might qualify for this study, please refer the client to one of the investigators. Please see inclusion criteria below:
CRITERIA #1 | Canine patients having two similar sized teeth in the mandible or matching alveoli in two-rooted mandibular teeth which are recommended to be extracted following a standard anesthetized oral exam and intra oral radiographic evaluation. |
CRITERIA #2 | Canine patients must be older than 1 year of age. |
CRITERIA #3 | Canine patients must tolerate general anesthesia or sedation while undergoing procedures. |
CRITERIA #4 | If enrolled, patient parents must be willing to bring the canine back for a follow-up visit (6, 8, OR 12 weeks) with CT scan and an optional second follow-up visit (12 months) with CT scan. |
